The Tampa Bay Rowdies today announced their 2012 Rowdies Rush Preseason Tour, which kicks off with an intra-squad scrimmage as part of Red Bull Supercamp on Saturday, March 3 at Noon and hosted at Monroe Middle School in South Tampa.
The following weekend on Saturday, March 10 the Rowdies will take on Eckerd College at 6:30 p.m. in a game hosted by the Chargers Soccer Club at Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch in Bradenton. On Wednesday, March 14, Azalea Youth Soccer League will welcome the Rowdies and the University of Tampa for a 7:30 exhibition match at the Walter Fuller Complex in St. Petersburg.
Tampa Bay faces four more college squads later in the month beginning with a road contest at Florida Gulf Coast University in Ft. Myers on Saturday, March 17 at 2:00 p.m. Tampa Bay United North hosts the match between the Rowdies and the University of Central Florida on Wednesday, March 21 at Ed Radice Complex in Northwest Tampa.
The Rowdies then play USF at Corbett Soccer Stadium on campus on Saturday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m. and Saint Leo at Countryside Sportsplex in Clearwater on Wednesday, March 28. The Rowdies wrap up the preseason campaign against their NASL rivals, the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers, with an exhibition match hosted by Florida Youth Soccer Association at their Auburndale Complex on Saturday, March 31.
The Rowdies open the 2012 regular season on the road at Puerto Rico on Saturday, April 7 before hosting FC Edmonton in the home opener on Saturday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Al Lang.
