The 2013 season is just over a month away, and the NASL Champions will be hosting the Rowdies Fan Fest presented by the Tampa Bay Times on Sunday, February 24th from 12:30-3:00 p.m.
The event at Al Lang Stadium will be filled with interactive activities for fans of all ages. It will also be an exclusive chance to see the new 2013 Al Lang Stadium field configuration, and an opportunity to secure your 2013 season tickets. Admission to Rowdies Fan Fest is free, including free event parking in the East Lot at Al Lang Stadium, located at 230 1st Street SE in downtown St. Petersburg.
You will have the opportunity to meet the 2012 NASL Coach of the Year, Head Coach Ricky Hill. In addition it is a great occasion for all fans to meet Rowdies players and take pictures on the field and with the NASL Soccer Bowl Trophy.
One can even test their skills on the field as some fans will have the chance to take a penalty shot on Rowdies goalkeeper Andrew Fontein from 12:30-1:00 p.m.
One of the highlights of the event is the opportunity for kids to participate in the Town and Country Westchase Orthopaedic Soccer Clinic from 1:15-2:00pm. The clinic is limited to 100 kids providing a unique experience with the professional players and coaches. The deadline to register for the clinic is Friday, February 22. Call the Rowdies front office at 813-287-1539 to secure your spot. To participate in the soccer clinic kids must bring their own soccer ball and shin guards.
Numerous prizes will be available, including a chance to win an autographed 2013 Stuart Campbell Rowdies preseason jersey. Fans will also have the opportunity to win a one-in-a-lifetime experience, where they will be able to take a Rowdies player to school!
Attendees will be able to get an up-close look at an Indy Car courtesy of Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, while sampling great food from Evos.
