ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (May 2, 2017) — Tampa Bay Rowdies defender Damion Lowe has earned a spot in the USL Team of the Week, announced by the league Tuesday afternoon.
Lowe was impressive in Saturday’s 1-0 win over the Richmond Kickers. He tallied four clearances, four interceptions and two tackles to help the Rowdies post their fourth clean sheet of the season.
Fellow Jamaican Deshorn Brown earned an honorable mention and was placed on the bench.

GK – Angelo Cavalluzzo, Toronto FC II: Cavalluzzo recorded a 10-save shutout against Louisville City FC, his third in a row for the Reds, on Saturday night.
D – Hugh Roberts, Bethlehem Steel FC: Roberts grabbed a late game-winner against Cincinnati after also recording four interceptions and completing 90 percent of his passes for the game.
D – James Moberg, Real Monarchs SLC: Moberg scored a fine finish and recorded six clearances as the Monarchs took their fifth win of the season, defeating Swope Park.
D – Joe Greenspan, Pittsburgh Riverhounds: Greenspan recorded four tackles and four clearances as the Riverhounds won the first edition of this year’s Keystone Derby Cup.
D – Damion Lowe, Tampa Bay Rowdies: Lowe completed 82 percent of his passes and recorded four interceptions and four clearances as the Rowdies held Richmond without a shot on goal.
M – Billy Forbes, San Antonio FC: Forbes scored a goal in each of San Antonio’s victories over the past week, helping the side maintain its undefeated start to the season.
M – Christiano Francois, Rochester Rhinos: Francois provided the assists on the Rhinos’ second and third goals, and was brought down for a penalty kick as Rochester downed Charlotte 4-0.
M – Joe Holland, Rio Grande Valley FC: Holland recorded his first goal and assist for the Toros as RGVFC swept to a 3-0 victory against OKC Energy FC.
F – Felix Chenkam, Seattle Sounders FC 2: Chenkam scored a pair of goals as S2 earned a 3-2 victory on the road against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.
F – Romario Williams, Charleston Battery: Williams moved into a tie for the league lead with six goals as his brace earned the Battery a point in a 2-2 draw with Ottawa Fury FC.
F – Cesar Elizondo, San Antonio FC: Elizondo scored two goals and added one assist in two games as San Antonio took victories against Seattle and Portland to set a club record with a four-game winning streak.
