ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (September 25, 2017) — Tampa Bay Rowdies fans have selected Matt Pickens as their Man of the Match for his performance in the Rowdies’ 1-0 win over the Charlotte Independence on Saturday night.
Pickens made three saves to post his eighth clean sheet of the season, equaling the mark he set last season with five matches still to go. His best save came in the 77th minute, when he acrobatically leapt to palm an Enzo Martinez shot out of play before it could bend into the upper 90.
